Main Street El Dorado and community leaders continue to assess the impact of COVID-19 in consultation with public health officials.
The Arkansas Department of Health said, “Under no circumstances can we support an event that brings large groups of people together, and it is our recommendation that you cancel.” We support state and local officials as they continue to monitor and address this situation. Based on their advice, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Shamrockin’ on the Square.
While we understand how disappointing this is for everyone, this decision is based on the current understanding of how COVID-19 is progressing. The decision is in the best interest of public health, including that of our community.
